Martha Farnican: Strength, Resilience and Security
Six years ago, Martha and her husband were in the process of securing their mortgage when a close friend introduced them to Genistar. They were impressed with the financial education, put their plan in place, and also became Genistar representatives. What began as a casual referral quickly turned into a life-changing decision.
“They didn’t just sell us something—they educated us. We learned the value of financial planning and the importance of having the right protection in place.”
At the time, Martha’s life was stable. Like many young couples, she and her husband were focused on building their future. But they weren’t prepared for what life would throw at them. Four years after their meeting with Genistar, Martha’s husband passed away suddenly, leaving her to raise their children on her own.
During the grief and uncertainty that followed, one thing that helped Martha cope was the financial foundation that she and her husband had put in place.
“Because we had the right protection, I was able to keep our mortgage, pay off the car, and remain debt-free. I could focus on my children and our healing process, rather than drowning in financial stress.
She admits there was a time when she nearly let her protection plan lapse. Life was busy and overwhelming, and the monthly premium felt like an extra, unnecessary expense. But her Genistar manager reminded her how important it was, and she kept it going.
“Looking back, I’m so thankful I listened. We had no idea how much that decision would matter.”
Today, Martha is not just surviving—she’s rebuilding, with confidence and clarity. She credits Genistar with giving her the tools and support she needed to protect her family’s future.

Anna Davies: Building a Legacy Through Adversity
For years, Anna Davies stood faithfully behind the scenes of her husband Roger’s growing Genistar business. As pastors, their shared passion was helping others—whether through ministry or financial education.
“What really struck me was the Genistar brochure that said, ‘Your Family Matters.’ That line made a huge impact on me. It helped me understand the heart behind this company.”
Roger stepped into Genistar full-time in 2013, and Anna supported him while continuing her own career in education. But by 2019, the business had expanded, and Roger needed help. Anna made the bold decision to leave her job and provide administrative support, especially during the pandemic.
“It was scary, but the vision of a business with no income ceiling—that really motivated us.”
Then, everything changed. In 2021, Roger passed away unexpectedly. Suddenly, Anna found herself at a crossroads—not just emotionally, but professionally.
“He had worked so hard to build something meaningful. It didn’t feel right to let that go.”
Though she hadn’t expected to take center stage, Anna stepped up. She transitioned from support role to leadership, determined to carry on Roger’s legacy and bring fresh energy back to their Genistar business.
“I had to accept that I didn’t know everything—and that was okay. Genistar offers support in bucket loads.”
Now a Senior Vice President, Anna is actively leading her team, learning in the field, and mentoring others.
“I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I want to find people who are ready to take hold of the opportunity Genistar offers—and help them fly.”

Barbara Anderson-Stewart: From Struggle to Significance
For Barbara Anderson-Stewart, Genistar isn’t just a company—it’s a calling. As one of the founders and now a Senior Vice President, her journey began not in a boardroom, but in struggle.
“I was a single mother working two jobs and going to college, trying to create a better life for myself and my daughter. The only night I slept well was Saturday—because I knew the bailiff wouldn’t come on Sunday.”
Born in Jamaica and raised by a single mother herself, Barbara came to the UK in 1995. After a short-lived marriage and an unexpected return to Jamaica, she found herself back in Britain, alone, with a baby to raise and a life to rebuild. But something inside her refused to settle.
“I was the eldest, the first one in my family to break out of the ranks. I decided I was going to be the one to change our future. Genistar helped me channel my passion into purpose; it gave me the freedom to grow, to lead, and to believe that I could create a legacy.”
Walking away from a steady job without knowing how she’d pay the mortgage was a leap of faith—but it was the moment her transformation truly began.
Over the last decade, Barbara has helped build Genistar from the ground up. She’s won every company trip, mentored countless individuals, and played a key role in shaping the company’s vision.
“Freedom is priceless. And Genistar gave me the choice to do better—not just for myself, but for the people coming after me. That’s the legacy I want to leave behind.”
