The Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Media Assistant to join our dynamic media team at Genistar. Reporting to the Digital Marketing and Design Manager, this role will primarily focus on design-oriented tasks, including creating engaging visual content for various platforms and assisting with digital marketing initiatives. Additionally, the Media Assistant will provide support during events, ensuring seamless execution of media and communication strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to teamwork. Description

  • Collaborate with team members to ideate, design, and produce visually compelling graphics for internal training materials.

  • Create high-quality artwork for digital and print media, such as infographics, social media content, and leaflets, using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.

  • Design and distribute professional marketing emails through platforms like Mail Jet.

  • Develop polished PowerPoint presentation decks to support various projects and initiatives.

  • Compose, proofread, and manage internal communications to ensure clear and consistent messaging.

  • Support the production of multimedia content, including filming podcasts, interviews, social media videos, and company-wide broadcasts.

  • Provide hands-on assistance during quarterly events, including event setup, AV desk operations, and the creation of tailored marketing assets.

  • Support video production through editing and post-production tasks using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or Adobe After Effects.

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing company events throughout the year, ensuring seamless logistics and high-quality branding materials.

  • Be prepared to occasionally work weekends, extended hours, and travel as required to support company event delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential
  • Excellent organisational skills – should be able to prioritize task lists and finish up projects by the deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills – should be proficient in English.

  • Collaborative spirit – A lot of the tasks will include collaborating with other teams on a regular basis, so the candidate should be able to manage expectations while completing the projects on time.

  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and proactivity.

  • Must pay special attention to detail.

Qualifications
  • Any equivalent bachelor’s degree in media, communications, marketing or design.

Desirable
  • Experience of working in any fast-paced design environment is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator), Canva, ChatGPT and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
