The Role

The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to gather and clarify business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with technology solutions. This role involves leading requirement-gathering efforts, managing documentation, and driving solution designs that meet organisational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and analyse business and technical requirements, address gaps, and steer towards optimal technology solutions.

Lead requirement-gathering sessions for the designated workstream, aligning with stakeholder and end user objectives to ensure feasible and effective technology design.

Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements documentation, ensuring accuracy through iterations, feedback, and finalisation using standard methodologies and templates.

Prepare options papers and process/workflow documentation to support understanding and adoption of the technical solution.

Engage and influence stakeholders to align solution designs with business objectives, scope, and strategic goals.

Contribute to the identification and realisation of project benefits, maintaining traceability of requirements and analysing the impact of solutions.

Conduct gap analyses on current versus future requirements to assess operational and technical implications.

Serve as a point of clarification for project team members, including architects, developers, and test analysts.

Identify assumptions, dependencies, risks, and issues, working closely with the board and Product Owner to ensure effective project management and reporting.

Facilitate workshops and review sessions to refine and communicate requirements to relevant stakeholders.

Present and demo solutions to project teams and stakeholders as necessary, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.

Ensure stakeholders are consistently updated on project progress, facilitating the translation of business requests into system improvements.

Review and approve developers’ work, ensuring adherence to requirements and final functionality after testing.

Utilize Azure DevOps (Visual Studio) to document business rules, manage developer workflows and priorities (in coordination with the Chief Technology Officer), and oversee task and bug tracking.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Excellent client facing skills/collaboration.

  • A sound approach to problem solving, knowledge of the change control process and the ability to analyse change to minimise impact on requirements and implementation.

  • Excellent communication and team working skills.

  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and proactivity.


Qualifications:

Proficiency in Azure DevOps (Visual Studio) for managing developer tasks and priorities.

Strong communication and documentation skills with experience in business and technical requirement gathering.
